Blogging is probably one of the best ways to get fresh new content to your website. Search engines look only for one thing and you guessed it right, content. It doesn’t matter how beautiful your website is because when bots scour your website, they look for keywords and content.

Before you start blogging, there are a few key areas to look at to ensure your website or blog gets traffic.

1. Use Social Bookmarking Websites

If you’ve heard of Onlywire or SocialBookmarker, use their services to instantly get your blog or articles on them. You will need to register to all the social bookmarking website but it is definitely worth the effort and your time. Do this consistently and you will see more traffic to your website and more backlinks. Most social bookmarking websites have very high traffic and good PR rankings.

2. The Power Of Videos

Videos have a much higher chance of getting good ranks then articles or content. You might notice that when you are searching for something like weight lost. You will find some videos on dieting and losing weight in the 1st page of Google. Again, do keyword research for your video title and make a good video. You don’t necessarily have to use Youtube. Other high traffic video websites include Metacafe, Hulu.com, or even Google Video.

3. Keyword Research

Before you start posting anything take some time to research on keywords. Don’t write something unspecific like “Golfing For Everyone”. Go to Google Keywords and search for Golfing and see which keyword has high traffic. Do not go for keywords that have too much competition. I say go for those that has an average of 10,000 to 50,000 searches a month. If you go beyond that, it would be very difficult to get into the first few pages of search engines. So again to quote the above example, it is better to write something like “10 Tips To Play Golf Better”.

This applies to any niche and not just the golfing niche.

Once you’ve chosen the right keyword. Try using it in your body(content) also. Do not repeat the main keyword too often. Try varying it and use them across your article. Search engines give more weight to your Title and the first few paragraphs of your article. Less emphasis is given to what’s at the bottom of your article.

5. Rewrite Articles

You might have hundreds or 40 articles on your blog. Sometimes you might run into the problem of not knowing what to write. When you encounter this “writer’s block”, search for inspiration elsewhere. For example, rewriting your previous articles or finding PLR articles and rewrite them. Doing this can also help give you fresh articles to post onto article directories. Bear in mind there are some article directories which has strict quality control, so you need to ensure you article still remains unique and doesn’t look as if its written by someone else.

As you can see it does not have to take a lot of time to do a quality blog post. You don’t even have to do them every day. If you are willing to spend 30 minutes or so three times a week it can really pay off for you in terms of new traffic and repeat traffic to your Internet business.

To Your Success,

Because of the rapid changes in the online landscape, internet usage has increased significantly through the years. People have found various ways to not only connect with people but also increase awareness of their existence in the digital world. One of which is blogging.Blogging has become a big hit not only with individuals but also with businesses and corporations. Any business that has not taken advantage of blogging is seriously missing in on a lot of potential earnings and profits.

A corporate blog has some similarities and differences from a standard blogger’s blog. While still following the basic pattern of having a reverse chronological order for entries, corporate blogs would often contain more words and texts for entries as this would be one way of explaining or answering various questions posted by other bloggers or interested parties. One solid example for this is the blog page for the online printing company, UPrinting. The online printer’s blog beautifully mixes words and graphic designs to leave a lasting impression on visiting bloggers and potential customers as well. The printer’s blog is not limited to photos and texts as well. New and highly informative videos can also be seen on the company’s blog.

Corporate blogs also cannot afford to follow a simple theme. It always follows that image is pretty important when it comes to anything, sites included that attaches to a company name. That is why some companies spend large amounts of money to make sure that they have the best website and blog pages available to attract additional viewers.

Unlike individually run blogs, company blogs are also keen on the tone they use in writing. This is clearly evident in the various entries that can be seen on their respective blog pages.

These are only some of the characteristics and pointers that needs to be taken note of when building a blog page for a business however, there are still a lot more points to ponder on to create the best business blog for companies.

Author: Laura Thomas

One of the best blogging tips you could ever get is how to write articles to advertise your blog and attract masses of traffic to it. This tip applies not only to promoting blogs, but also to advertising your Squidoo lens, your Facebook page or even your YouTube videos.Blogging Tip #1 – Consider your Language

Lots of people think they can write well, but in fact cannot. The first problem that the majority of the online world has is that they cannot write in English: they can communicate in written English, but not write a readable article. A badly written email or blog might work if the message is good and easily understandable, but not an article.

Which is a shame, because not only do most internet users not understand English, but they also have a lot to offer to us that do. The only advice I can give to you is to hire an article ghostwriter to write for you. That will likely cost you money, but not if you strike a deal, whereby they write your article in return for you translating one of theirs into your language and submitting it in your country.

I am on the look-out for these deals all the time, because it can be a great advantage to communicate with people online in their own language, particularly if you have something to sell them! That is blogging tip #1: communicate as effectively as you can, even in different languages if you can make it happen.

Tip #2 – Convey the Right Message

If you want to advertise your blog, you should know how to write articles in such a way that they convey the message of your blog. Thus, if you are blogging about training cats, you should write about how you trained your cat to take the dog for a walk. This can be done in two ways: Seriously, in which case you will make a fortune, or jokingly, in which case you will give your readers a laugh, and that will help to persuade them to return.

Not only that, but you will get a good Comments thread going about how cats can be trained to take dogs for a walk. Cats could even feed dogs, and many do but not in the way intended. The secret is to write in such a fashion as to interest people, even if what you write sees silly. Monty Python got to be a world-wide phenomenon because of their silliness, and the same was true of Basil Fawlty, the Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy.

Tip #3 – You Cannot Be Serious! – Can You?

If you can’t be silly, be serious. But then you have to be 100% accurate, because you readers will be serious people – some even look for faults in your writing; faults in either your grammar or your content. Write authoritatively on the topic of your blog. If you don’t know that much then get your content online and change it to be uniquely yours. The point is that you are offering useful and serious information that will provide the reader with some benefit: help them solve a problem or save them time in what they are currently working on.

Tip #4 – Write Better than Video

Keep in mind that you are now competing against audio and video. It’s no longer the old days when writing was the only online means of communication. Consider what audio and video cannot provide, and then provide it. I suppose you want an example of what I am referring to?

OK. Take a simple example: you are offering statistics such as how much money your product save customers that purchase it. This has much more impact when presented in bold red letters, perhaps in italics and underlined, than just stated on a video or audio presentation.

Another one: you can write down instructions on how to write articles to advertise your blog, website or even your product. Try reading these out and see how easy they are to follow. Or try showing them on video: sure, a video on how to set up a Wordpress blog on your website is easier to follow than written instructions, but you can explain how to write articles easier using the written word than its spoken equivalent – on an MP3 or a video.

Tip #5 – Write From the Heart

Write naturally: write down what comes into your head as you write about a subject that you love, and that love will come through in your writing. If you take time to think what you are writing, and struggle to get the grammar and spelling right while you write, your article writing will appear stilted and unnatural.

You can correct the grammar and spelling later, but let your writing flow from your heart while you write without the constraints of online article writing rules. It’s a bog for goodness sake, not an essay you are writing, and most of your readers will be as good at English grammar as you are! Take that in any way you like to – it came from the heart!

Tip #6 – Get The Thread?

Get a thread going. No, it’s not a forum, but you can get a thread, or even abuzz, going with a blog. Allow anybody to make comments freely, and you will get people visiting your blog just to take part. Write the first part of thread by presenting a contentious argument, or even writing something completely outrageous (Barrack Obama is a Transvestite) – well perhaps not that – but something that will get people writing to you.

Why did Jerry Springer become so famous? Think about it.

Then learn how to write articles for publication, and send them to article directories with a link to your blog in the resource, or at the end of the article. That will get your blog known world-wide, and if your article writing is unique enough you will get masses of traffic trying to disagree with you – or agree!

Whatever, all you need do then is to make sure that you will benefit from the blog page you are advertising to them. Either have your products on it, links to important pages or even make it a squeeze page for your website.

That’s how to write articles to advertise your blog, and one of the best blogging tips you can be given: how to attract traffic to your blog and maintain a buzz about it that will force even more people to visit to find out what all the fuss is about. Why not charge them a 5c entry fee through PayPal?
These votes are counted as back links. Think about it, when you come across something you like and you want others to know about it too, what do you do? You link to it! Which is why the search engines regard these so highly. While your ultimate objective is to get others to link to you, it is possible for you to manage things yourself for the time being.

Here are a few of the best strategies available for building back links to raise your blog’s profile so that it can attract the attention of the search engines.

Writing and Submitting Articles

When you write and submit articles, you are laying a solid foundation for building back links! Article sites such as EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com let you post your articles with a link back to your blog. The implications of this are great because these particular sites are regarded highly for the quality of their content, and you get to share in their quality readership. Moreover, there is no limit to the number of articles you can write and submit. The great thing about this also, is that you can submit identical articles to various sites, or readjust a few phrases and sentences, and submit them again as completely unique articles.
Leaving Comments on People’s Blogs

Remember that one important essence of blogging is your involvement in the community. When you leave comments on people’s blogs, you not only earn recognition from their readers for making known your presence through your writing, but also, you are building back links to your blog! Remember that some of these links are regarded as “nofollow”, meaning that the search engines may not pass along ranking or “juice.” That is understandable since the algorithms are ever changing. However, these links are a great thing because they are so highly targeted.
Writing Guest Posts

Another great strategy is to write guest posts for other niche blogs. Two things which result from you doing this are: you earn respect and gratitude from those to whom you give a day off from blogging because of your guest post, and you provide a fresh outlook to the readers on a subject they love. It’s a great strategy because just by writing an extra post for the day, you get a back link to your blog.
Using Social Bookmarking Sites

Still another way you can build back links is to bookmark your sites. Despite the rumours doing the rounds that bookmarking may not be regarded as highly in the future as at the present time, it still makes your presence known to the search engines for fast indexing. However, by being selective in ensuring that you bookmark only high quality sites, you will reap the benefit of those back links too.
Paying for Links

While there are various ways you can pay for links, it is in your interest to remember that Google and other search engines don’t hold this in very high regard, because it is like someone “thumbing their nose” at their algorithms. To do or not to do, the choice is yours. This method can be quite effective, provided you do not overdo it and become too conspicuous. To do this, you can contact people directly, or work through link exchange networks.

Back links to your blog are similar to the arteries in your body. They carry the lifeblood that nourish your blog, and ultimately fill your bank account. So if you want to be ranked highly by the search engines, learn all the different methods of building back links to your blog, and by adding a few at a time, they will build up massively over time.

The first time I was introduced to online marketing business, I loved everything about it mostly because it can be home based and a source of self-employment.

Whoever did this to me had a myriad of confessions to make from people who did the same successfully and today all they have is a big smile on their faces as they watch new and loyal visitors log in and out of their websites to view the latest.

How such entrepreneurs created an online palace on their sites is something I did not bother much to understand then, for directions were clear; write and submit your articles for marketing.

And there I did it at the comfort of my chair at home, but only planting too much time and brainwork to my site and reaping too little returns.

Writing articles

Writing articles is nothing but a great challenge at first, especially when you have to follow directions from someone who has done it successfully.

It takes courage to learn to exploit the innate writing abilities and believing that these skills can still hit target, in terms of who is expected to benefit from the content.

They all say that being in this home-based online marketing is synonymous with creating great content.

In other words, the more information an author shares with the world is the first step in creating an online palace on his or her site.

Secondly, it is important to note that a king cannot do without his branch, which in this case is appropriateness.

If your site should feature articles on health, then by all means, you must not mix this with electronics for instance.

However, writing articles with worth- reading- content as well as matching it with the purpose of your site is not adequate without a way of conveying them to your target readers.

The next part involves distribution efforts for them to be read far and wide around the world and later expect the appreciation from your fans as well as monetary benefits and the following is the most common.

Submission directories

Free content submission sites are the most common and natural ways online authors have always used.

But since these great sites are the only hope for those who cannot afford to part with some dollars to cover their marketing efforts, there is a lot they endure.

Additionally, with the site owner focus being creating an online palace on their sites, they appreciate the fact that it has to be famous to increase the number of visitors.

This is the most taxing thing, because a home-based online marketing business is not like that grocery shop where the owner can orally advertise what he is capable of doing to keep his potential customers coming back.

Those who have manually tried to submit their articles loaded with great information realize that this is very tedious and frustrating too.

Some of these directories offer exceptional services and approves authors’ articles very fast while others have too many complexities and take weeks to do this.

What experts call link popularity is what every site owner wishes to accomplish with these directories but it is very difficult to submit lots of content to many sites for reasons of time element.

This is determined by the quantity of links other websites have on their pages pointing back to your own site.

The fewer you have, the more your online palace becomes deserted and vice versa, yet it is not something you can do overnight.

The article submitter software is one rocking means of creating more time to improve your site popularity because it is really frustrating to submit articles manually!

Well blogging to some is just as chatting online while to the beginners isn’t easy as such. Starting a new blog is difficult and this can put many people off, there are then other people who have blogs with no comments or visits. What’s common to these groups of people is that they haven’t mastered the tips I have for them. You may be one of them. With my few and easy to understand secrets for beginners, you will surely be a master in a few weeks:

1.	Post regularly. Ensure you have great content to post. Remember this is like talking to thousands of listeners in a lecture hall, what you would say to them? Make sure you have a well written and researched topic which will capture the interest of your readers. If you have nothing worth talk about stop posting until you are ready.

2.	Stick with only a few specific genres to talk about. Blogging on specific topics is a nice way to attract a particular group of visitors who are more likely to be frequent other than writing on every topic under the sun. Think of it as a specialized shop dealing in pet food. You are sure of getting these visitors every time they need some supplies but remember this is only warranted if what they get is what they need.

3.	Don’t put ’subscribe’ and ‘vote me’ links all over the front page until you have people that like your blog enough to ignore them (they’re usually just in the way).Unless your blog is sufficiently populated with high quality contents, no one will try subscribing. Relevant articles and frequent postings will prompt your visitors to bond with your blog and always eager to know what’s new today.

4.	Use a clean and simple theme if at all possible. This will ensure that the blog loads faster and easier to navigate through. No one likes wasting time before they spot your contents. Simplicity wins in blogging.

5.	Enjoy, blog for fun, comment on other peoples’ blogs (as they normally visit back).Make it a funny way to make more money.

Syspag.com offers great articles on how to make money from blogs for beginners. What ticks is that it’s absolutely free to access. Good luck blogging Buddy!

There are basically two types of bloggers in the world – reporters and experts – and some people perform both roles (usually the experts, it’s hard for reporters to become experts, but it’s easy for experts to report).

If you have ever taken an Internet marketing course or attended a seminar specifically for beginners, you have probably heard about the two different methodologies. Whenever the business model is based on content, and if you blog for money then the model is based on content, people are taught to either start as reporters, or if possible step up as experts.

I’ll be frank, you want to be the expert.

Reporters leverage the content of the experts and in most cases people start off as reporters because they haven’t established expertise. Experts enjoy the perks of preeminence, higher conversion rates because of perceived value, it’s easier to get publicity, people are more likely to seek you out rather than you having to seek others out, joint ventures come easier, etc… experts in most cases simply make more money and attract more attention.

Most Bloggers Are Reporters

The thing with expertise is that it requires something – experience. No person becomes an expert without doing things and learning. Bloggers usually start out without expertise and as a result begin their blogging journey by talking about everything going on in their niche (reporting) and by interviewing and talking about other experts (reporting again).

There’s nothing wrong with reporting of course and for many people it’s a necessity at first until you build up some expertise. Unfortunately the ratios are pretty skewed when it comes to reporters and experts – there are a lot more reporters than there are experts, hence reporters tend to struggle to gain attention and when they do, they often just enhance the reputation of the expert they are reporting on.

Don’t Replicate Your Teacher

If you have ever spent some time browsing products in the learn Internet marketing niche you will notice a pattern. Many people first study Internet marketing from a “guru” (for lack of a better term). The guru teaches how he or she is able to make money online, and very often the view that the student gleams is that in order to make money online you have to teach others how to make money online.

The end result of this process is a huge army of amateurs attempting to replicate what their teacher does in the same industry – the Internet marketing industry – not realizing that without expert status based on a proven record and all the perks that come with it, it’s next to impossible to succeed.

Even people who enjoy marginal success, say for example growing an email list of 1,000 people, then go out and launch a product about how to grow an email list of 1,000 people. Now I have no problems with that, I think it’s fine to teach beginners and leverage whatever achievements you have, the problem is that people gravitate to the same niche – Internet marketing – and rarely have any key points of differentiation.

How many products out there do you know of that all claim to teach the same things – email marketing, SEO, pay per click, affiliate marketing, and all the sub-niches that fall under the category of Internet marketing. It’s a saturated market, yet when you see your teachers and other gurus making money teaching others how to make money (and let’s face it – making money as a subject is one of the most compelling) – your natural inclination is to follow in their footsteps.

If the key is to become an expert and you haven’t spent the last 5-10 years making money online, I suggest you look for another niche to establish expertise in.

Report on Your Process, Not Others

The secret to progress from reporter to expert is not to focus on other experts and instead report on your own journey. When you are learning how to do something and implementing things day by day, or studying other people’s work, you need to take your process and what you do as a result of what you learn, and use it as content for your blog.

It’s okay to talk about experts when you learn something from them, but always relate it to what you are doing. If you learn a technique from an expert it’s fine to state you learned it from them (and affiliate link to their product too!) but you should then take that technique, apply it to what you are doing and then report back YOUR results, not there’s. Frame things using your opinion – your stories – and don’t regurgitate what the expert said. The key is differentiation and personality, not replication.

Expertise comes from doing things most people don’t do and then talking about it. If you do this often enough you wake up one day as an expert, possibly without even realizing how it happened, simply because you were so good at reporting what you did.

You Are Already An Expert

Most people fail to become experts (or perceived as experts) because they don’t leverage what they already know. Every person who lives a life learns things as they go, takes action every day and knows something about something. The reason why they never become an expert is because they choose not to (which is fine for some, not everyone wants to be an expert), but if your goal is to blog your way to expertise and leave the world of reporting behind you have to start teaching and doing so by leveraging real experience.

Experience can come from what you do today and what you have done previously, you just need to take enough steps to demonstrate what you already know and what you are presently learning along your journey. I know so many people in my life who are experts simply by virtue of the life they have lived, yet they are so insecure about what they know, they never commit their knowledge to words for fear of…well fear.

Blogs, and the Web in general, are amazing resources when you leverage them as a communication tool to spread your expertise because of the sheer scope of people they can reach. If all you ever do is talk to people in person and share your experience using limited communication mediums, you haven’t much hope of becoming an expert. Take what you know and show other people through blogging, and you might be surprised how people change their perception of you in time.

Reporting Is A Stepping Stone

If your previous experience and expertise is from an area you want to leave behind or you are starting from “scratch”, then reporting is the path you must walk, at least for the short term.

Reporting is a lot of fun. Interviewing experts, talking about what other people are doing and just being part of a community is not a bad way to blog. In many cases people make a career of reporting (journalism is about just that), but if you truly want success and exponential results, at some point you will have to stand up and proclaim yourself as someone unusually good at something and then proceed to demonstrate it over and over again.

Have patience and focus on what you do to learn and then translate that experience into lessons for others, and remember, it’s okay to be a big fish in a small pond, that’s all most experts really are.
